Abstract
SUMMARY: In field trials in Kent soil drenches of captafol, drazoxolon, etridiazol and prothiocarb were applied to strawberries planted in red‐core‐infested soil. A single post‐planting drench of captafol (0–20%) and prothiocarb (0–28%) controlled red core and captafol also reduced non‐specific root rotting. Etridiazol (0–20%) was phytotoxic and caused severe root rotting. The addition of lime increasing the soil to pH 7‐5 had no effect on the incidence of red core infection or non‐specific root rotting. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
