Abstract
Dermoscopy is a noninvasive diagnostic technique allowing visualization of pigmented and vascular structures that are not visible to the naked eye. As previously demonstrated, clinicians using dermoscopy can improve their diagnostic performance by differentiating benign from malignant pigmented skin tumors.1,2 Although various pigmented dermoscopic structures have been described and assessed for their diagnostic validity,3 the value of the various morphologic types of vessels seen by dermoscopy has been previously demonstrated in only a few reports.4Keywords
