Abstract
We calculate the dispersion relation of the electromagnetic normal modes and the reflectance of superlattices made of highly doped semiconductors and of metals, taking into account plasma waves, spatial dispersion, and retardation. We obtain a variety of modes made up of interacting surface and bulk plasmons, which yield a rich structure in the reflectance spectra. Keywords
