Abstract
Potassium iodide solution was tube fed to each of 25 rats at the rate of 200 mg/rat/day for 3 days. Water was administered to 23 control rats and KCl to 10 additional rats. After 3 days the average plasma cholesterol concentration in each of the 3 groups had risen from a pre-experimental level of 50 mg % to 92, 60 and 64 mg %, respectively. Keywords
