Abstract
The experiments show that narrow zones of the intensive heat transfer extended in the direction of the free stream velocity may appear on the leeward (top) surface of a body in the flow with boundary layer separation. The values of the heat transfer coefficient in these zones may he several times greater than those for the unseparated flow. The effect of Reynolds number, incidence and geometrical parameters of lifting bodies at M=5 and 6 on the maximum heat transfer coefficient on the leeward surface is studied. Keywords
