FAILURE OF VARIOUS STEROIDS TO BLOCK GONADOTROPHIN-INDUCED OVULATION IN RABBITS

Abstract
Progesterone, estrone, estriol, testosterone pro-pionate, 19-nortestosterone, deoxycorticosterone acetate, cortisol, Norethynodrel, and Norethindrone were administered subcutaneously to test for their ability to block the ovulation produced by intravenous injection of human chorionic gonadotrophin. None was effective.
