Abstract
A new impactor has been developed which can collect aerosol particles smaller than 0.1 µm in diameter at ambient impactor pressures and flow rates of up to 30 Lpm. A cut size as small as 0.06 µm has been obtained at a pressure drop of 30 cmHg. The small cut size is obtained through the use of impactor nozzles 100 μm in diameter. Calibration data are given for a wide range of particle sizes and flow rates. Several illustrations of impactor use are discussed. Keywords
