Abstract
The spheroidal s-wave phaseshift for the scattering of electrons from H2+ is calculated by the Kohn variational method in the energy range 0.2 approximately 1.0 Ryd. The prolate spheroidal coordinate system and the two-centre Coulomb wavefunctions are employed. The results are compared with those of the single-centre calculation made by Temkin et al.Keywords
