Abstract
SUMMARY: 1. A method for the ablation of the thyroid gland in adult Brown Leghorns with radioactive iodine is described. 2. Thyroxine replacement effects on the plumage of thyroid-deficient birds have been produced by triiodothyroacetic acid, the acetic acid analogue of triiodothyronine. Keywords
