Abstract
The preparation and characterization of the new fluxional molecule trans-Pt(PPh3)2H(p-CH3C6 H4N-N[dbnd]NC6H4CH3-p) (I) is de-scribed. (I) reacts with tetracyanoethylene yielding Pt(PPh3)2 (TCNE); it is recovered unreacted upon interaction with molecular hydrogen.Keywords
