Nipagin (p-Methyl Hydroxy Benzoate) as a Pesticide Against a House Dust Mite: Dermatophagoides Pteronyssinus

Abstract
Extensive literature has appeared on control of asthma symptomatically and by desensitization (Dahl, 1968, Acta Allergol. supp. 9: 1–303). Recently a relationship was demonstrated between pyroglyphid mites, particularly Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Trouessart, 1897), and house dust allergen, a frequent cause of asthma (Voorhorst, Spieksma & Varekamp, 1969, House-dust atopy and the house-dust mite, Leiden).
