Abstract
The performance of different iterative algorithms has been studied for reconstructing emission images of single gamma emitters, using a new gamma camera based upon an electronic method of collimation. Adaptations of the ART, SIRT, and Iterative Least Squares algorithms have been studied. The algorithms have been compared via simulation with respect to the rate of convergence, sensitivity to noise, resolution, and contrast of the reconstructed image. Results have also been obtained with experimentally measured data from a point source of Tc-99m.Keywords
