Abstract
When one considers the responses to pain, it appears that there is an emotion of pain as well as a sensation of pain. Sorrow or depression, anger and fear are evoked as well as motor, autonomic and sensory responses. Pain can occur as a primary or secondary manifestation in affective disorders and also occurs in neurosis and schizophrenia. Keywords
