Abstract
A compilation of paradoxical interpretations and prescriptions is presented after a short review of similar efforts. This compilation includes the following dimensions, as defined by polar opposites: individual vs. systemic; prescriptive vs. descriptive; direct insight vs. indirect insight-producing; direct vs. cryptic; time-bound vs. time-random; reframing vs. relabeling; and specific vs. general. Theoretical, empirical and clinical implications of this typology are considered, with an emphasis on the latter. Keywords
