Report on a case of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans that was observed clinically and histologically for 15 years. During the course of the disease seven recurrences occurred being characterized by an increasing tendency for malignancy. The tumours showed an increasing number of densely packed cells and revealed a predominantly infiltrating growth, which finally lead to the diagnosis of fibrosarcoma in the latest stage of the disease.
