Abstract
Fish production, feed consumption, and feed conversion were evaluated for 2-year-old channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) raised an additional growing season. Channel catfish averaging 1.5 lb each were stocked into two 4.0-acre ponds and fed a floating 32% protein commercial feed for approximately 160 d. At harvest the fish averaged 3.1 lb and attained a feed conversion of 2.2. Feed consumption, expressed as a percent of the estimated standing crop weight, decreased from approximately 1.25 to 0.70% over the growing season.
