Abstract
Succinea archeyi is recorded from an Upper Pleistocene deposit at Marton (40°05′S; 175°23′E), a Holocene lake deposit at Lake Poukawa, Hawke's Bay (39°47′S; 176°42′E) and from a glacial lake marl in the Cromwell Gorge, Otago (45°05′S; 169°14′E). The significance of the palaeoenvironments at these sites is discussed in relation to what is known of the biology of the living populations.
