Abstract
To the Editor: In his letter Dr. S. Farzan, of the Edward J. Meyer Memorial Hospital (N.E.J.M. May 28, 1970), writes, "The only known pulmonary manifestations related to these worms [that is, roundworm and hookworm] are due to larval immigration during their life cycle. To my knowledge, asthma has never been considered to be associated with these parasites." This is a sharp reprimand to the many of us who have lived and worked in endemic areas. We have been so busy dealing with sufferers from worms and other conditions that we have never found the time to put into print . . .
