Abstract
A scaling analysis of the adiabatic eigenstates of an electron placed in a deformable continuum with and without the presence of a Coulombic defect is set forth. This procedure enables us to obtain exact information about the system's adiabatic eigenstates for various models of the electron-lattice interaction. Keywords
