Abstract
While the polymer age has existed from the time of the appearance of the first organism on earth, there have been many phases in this polymer age. These phases include that of the natural polymers, thermosets, the general purpose thermoplastics, and the high performance thermoplastics. The most recent phase is that of conductive polymers which should result in a new industry. Keywords
