Abstract
Basic concepts, motivation, and techniques of fault tolerance are discussed in this paper. The topics include fault classification, redundancy techniques, reliability modeling and prediction, examples of fault-tolerant computers, and some approaches to the problem of tolerating design faults. Keywords
