Abstract
1. Observations are reported on the oxygen consumption of single individuals of four species of protozoan using the reference diver technique. 2. The relation of oxygen consumption to cell volume is given for a series of individual protozoans covering a thousandfold range in size, and the change in oxygen consumption following excystment and encystment in Bresslaua has been recorded. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
