Amplification of the Killer System for Differentiation of Candida albicans Strains

Abstract
Summary: The authors have extended the usefullness of the yeast, killer system“for differentiating strains of Candida albicans within the species. By using 21 Wer strains grouped in triplets it was possible to differentiate 27 biotypes among 100 strains of hdida albicans that were studied. The method proves to be his reliable and reproducible when simple, basic cultural conditions were observed in the test.Zusammenfassung: Znr Vehessemg der Anwendbarkeit des, Killer System“bei der Unterscheidung von Biotypen von Candida albicans mden 21 Killer‐Stämme verwendet. Aufgeschlässelt in Grnppen von je 3 Killer‐Stämmen konnten unter 100 Stiimmen von Candida albims 27 Biotypen unterschieden werden. Bei Einhaltung einiger ehfacher Regeh ist die Methode zuverk‐issig und ihre Ergebnisse sind reproduzierbar.Keywords
