Abstract
An error in a published [J. Appl. Phys. 41, 4404 (1970)] linearized-gradient analysis of the diffusion-limited growth of a spherical precipitate is corrected. Comparison of the present and previous analyses as a function of supersaturation shows that the numerical effects of the error are small enough to warrant use of the incorrect but simpler analysis unless a high level of accuracy is required. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
