Abstract
Rotteleur et al. (Laser Surg. Med., vol.8, p.283-7, 1988) have described a scanning system used in conjunction with a pulsed argon laser. The authors describe a mechanism to automate the treatment with a continuous wave dye laser operating at 575 nm, which is easy to use and eliminates operator variability. The mechanism allows the authors for the first time to accurately quantify the energy applied per unit area and to plan their treatment on a more rational basis. Keywords
