SERVICES ANCILLARY TO PHYSICAL MEDICINE: REGIONAL VARIATIONS IN STAFF AND APPLIANCES

Abstract
Data on professions supplementary to medicine and on the use of certain appliances were obtained from official sources. Distribution patterns are considered, both from the standpoint of variations between regions and from their relationship to indicators of need for the services. Considerable discrepancies exist that could have an appreciable influence on a patient's illness, and some of the possibilities for altering this situation are discussed.
