Systematics of nuclear charge distributions in Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn deduced from muonic x-ray measurements

Abstract
The results of precise measurements of the energies of the 2p321s12 and 2p121s12 muonic x-ray transitions of Fe54, Fe56, Fe57, Fe58, Co59, Ni58, Ni60, Ni61, Ni62, Ni64, Cu63, Cu65, Zn64, Zn66, Zn68, and Zn70, are reported. Using a highly linear digitally stabilized Ge(Li) spectrometer system, the absolute energies and energy shifts between nuclei were measured with total errors of approximately 40-60 eV (110 eV for Zn70). The data were analyzed in terms of the Barrett moments rkear of the nuclear charge distributions from which the equivalent nuclear radii Rk and the isotopic and isotonic differences
