Abstract

SAN FRANCISCO DERMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY April 2, 1977 Ervin Epstein, Jr, MD, Recorder Cutaneous Tumors in Sun-exposed Areas Following Renal Transplantation. Presented by Marcus A. Conant, MD; Douglas N. Naversen, MD; Ernst Epstein, MD. Proteinuria developed in a 36-year-old woman at age 18; she received two renal transplants for glomerulonephritis at age 24, and she was maintained on a regimen of prednisone and azathioprine for the next 12 years. At age 30, the gradual onset of numerous keratotic papules confined to all sun-exposed areas was noted. Both parents had some actinic keratoses. Multiple hyperkeratotic, crusted papules and nodules in the aforementioned areas ranged up to 2 cm in diameter; some were secondarily infected.
