Abstract
A fluxon transfer device, consisting of a Josephson transmission line partially having a shunt resistor, is fabricated. Experiments are performed using a Josephson sampler. The results show that a fluxon stops at the resistively shunted portion and is moved again by applying a drive current, and that the stopping fluxon does not move for at least ∼100 µs, i.e., the stopping state is stable. The bit transfer time is as fast as ∼25 ps.Keywords
