Abstract
Subtle focal corneal deposits (0.1 mm or less in diameter) were observed in approximately 10% of 680 subjects in two age-and sex-matched groups. These minute corneal deposits are granular in nature, anteriorly located, and could only be observed using retro or specular illumination with a slit lamp. The observed corneal granularity was so subtle that visual acuity was not changed. Although the etiology of this previously unreported observation is not known, age and chronic administration of a number of topical ocular medications may be associated factors. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
