Abstract
BOSTON-- A common herpesvirus that infects healthy adults but rarely harms them--cytomegalovirus--is now being recognized as a major threat to newborns, a clinical researcher reported at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (publisher of Science), held here 14 to 19 February. Other presentations discussed a possible observation of Bose-Einstein condensation prior to the work that won last year9s Nobel Prize in physics and the explosion in our ancestors9 use of ornamental beads about 40,000 years ago.
