Abstract
Optical-absorption spectra of KCl: crystals irradiated with x rays at room temperature have been investigated in the temperature range 90-450 K. It is suggested that the absorption band observed in the vicinity of 253 nm originates from whereas the absorption band at 285 nm originates from .
