Abstract
The general problem of a cylindrical antenna immersed in a dissipative medium is formulated in a manner that permits the determination not only of the distribution of current and the admittance, but also of the electromagnetic field. The analytical procedure is approximate but quantitatively sufficiently accurate to be of practical value. It may be extended to treat coupled antennas in a dissipative medium. Keywords
