Abstract

The inclusive reaction

γ + p \to π^{-}

+ anything is studied in the energy range

E_{γ} = 5.5 - 15

GeV. Experimental data on the differential cross section

\frac{\partial^{2} σ}{\partial P_{L} \partial {P_{T}}^{2}}

in the target fragmentation region are qualitatively similar in shape in different energy intervals, but the magnitude shows a significant decrease with

E_{γ}

in this energy range.
