Abstract
Yaws was described in Jamaica from the time it was introduced by importation of African slaves during the 16th century through a survey carried out by the Ministry of Health with the assistance of the World Health Organization in 1963. In spite of a vigorous campaign utilizing mobile treatment units, yaws will recur unless periodic surveys are made to find and treat subsequently appearing infectious patients. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
