Some bis-π-cyclopentadienyl complexes of molybdenum and tungsten with sulphur, nitrogen, and oxygen ligands

Abstract

The preparation and properties of the 2-mercaptoethylamino- and o-aminothiophenolate derivatives, [(π-C₅H₅)₂MNH₂(CH₂)₂S]⁺X^– and (π-C₅H₅)₂MNHC₆H₄S (M = Mo or W) and [(π-C₅H₅)₂WNH₂C₆H₄S]⁺Cl^– are reported. Similarly the o-aminophenolate, acetylacetonato- and 9,10-anthraquinone complexes (π-C₅H₅)₂MoNHC₆H₄O, [(π-C₅H₅)₂MoO₂C₅H₇]⁺X^–, and (π-C₅H₅)₂WO₂C₁₄H₈ are described. The complexes have been characterised by analysis and ¹H n.m.r., i.r., and, in some cases, mass spectroscopy.
