Propionibacterium acnes causing an aortic root abscess

Abstract
A case of endocarditis caused by Propionibacterium acnes associated with an aortic root abscess is presented. This supports the current opinion that aortic root abscesses are not necessarily associated with microorganisms of high virulence.Keywords
