Abstract
The traditional mass spectrometer inlet systems adapted for measurement of gas partial pressure have a considerable gas consumption. This is a major drawback when they are used in closed respiratory systems. In the present paper, a membrane‐covered inlet system with a very low gas consumption is described. We also report on the response time and relative sensitivity of the system to different gases. Keywords
