Abstract
Distortion resulting from the filtering of spectral lines introduces errors in measurement of position, amplitude, and linewidth. Such errors are described here quantitatively and graphically for Gaussian and Lorentzian profiles and for their first derivatives, when distorted by a simple RC filter. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
