Abstract
Paeonol (1) in Paeonia suffruticosa was proved to be the metabolite of shikimic acid via phenylalanine and cinnamic acid. Feeding of 14C-labeled phenylalanine and cinnamic acid to the plants resulted in efficient incorporation of 14C into the corresponding position of I. Neither acetate nor malonate was incorporated significantly into I.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
