Ca40(p,pα)Ar36reaction in a noncoplanar geometry

Abstract
The Ca40(p,pα)Ar36 reaction has been measured at Ep=101.3 MeV for coplanar quasifree angle pairs (θρ=70°,θα=45.7°) and out-of-plane angles β=0°,5°,10°,15°, and 20°. Distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations reproduce the shape of the energy sharing distributions and provide spectroscopic factors in agreement with previous work on knockout and transfer reactions.
