Serumeiweissbild beim hypernephroiden Karzinom

Abstract
Electrophoresis of the serum before an operation of 27 patients (13 females, 14 males) with a hypernephroma showed a decreased amount of albumin as well as an increased amount of α2- and β-globulin concentration. By immunological investigations (radial immunodiffusion) of the serum protein, an increase of α1-antitrypsin, coeruloplasmin, haptoglobin and IgM as well as a decrease of β-lipoprotein, transferrin and IgG was proved. Paraprotein as well as α1-fetoprotein were not detected in any of the patients of the examined group. In combination with the known methods of diagnosis, the quantitative changes of the seven above-mentioned serum proteins can be regarded as a support and backing-up of tumor diagnosis.
