Residue Studies with 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic Acid Herbicide in the Dairy Cow and in a Natural and Artificial Rumen

Abstract
The herbicide, 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2, 4-D) controls broadleaf weeds in forage crops. In the work reported, the compound was fed to a dairy cow and was found to be absent as a residue in the milk and feces. It also did not decompose in a natural or artificial rumen.
