Abstract
A preoperatively acquired lever-pressing response to escape a gray noise was abolished, while the same response as a food-getting reaction was maintained following the operations. "It is concluded that bilateral lesions of the septal region in the rat abolish the aversive function while leaving intact the discriminative function of auditory stimuli.".Keywords
