Abstract
The use of several broad spectrum toxicants presents contamination problems in the environment which may persist for months and even years. Suitable organisms (e.g., the eastern oyster, Pacific oyster, and the soft clam) can be used to give reliable data on the presence of organochloride pesticide residues in estuarine environments. Keywords
