Abstract
When "light white casein" in a vit.-A-free diet was replaced by defatted meat meal and coconut meal as sources of protein, a much earlier growth-arrest was obtained, and the growth response was graded more steeply to the dosage. A mathematical expression is developed for the growth response during 4.5 and 6 weeks in [male][male] and [female][female], with limits of error. The international carotene standard is stable at 4[degree]C for at least 6 mos. when dissolved in arachis oil obtained direct from the refinery and saturated with quinol. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
