Abstract
In some noise reduction techniques, the learning of noise characteristics is required and a voice activity detector (VAD) must be used to determine noise sequences. The VAD proposed is derived from the coherence function computed from two microphones. It is combined with a noise reduction technique and its influence evaluated. Keywords
