Geometrical significance of isallo stress

Abstract

Some years ago, the notion of isallo stress was introduced; the isallo stress values can be ascertained from the fault patterns in certain areas. The present paper shows how the complete trajectories of the tectonic stresses can be obtained from isallo stress values.
