Abstract
The matrix product of the initial factor loading matrix times the least- squares orthonormal approximation to the general oblique transformation matrix is suggested to be the most adequate matrix for the evaluation of the contributions of factors to variables. This factor contribution matrix can also re- place the primary factor pattern matrix in evaluating oblique simple structure. Keywords
