Abstract
An efficient and direct method for the syntheses of new double Schiff bases by reactions of two different aldehydes and ammonia have been developed. These reactions have also been extended to obtain some novel types of ferrocene derivatives. Specific catalytic hydrolysis of double Schiff bases by metallic ion through intramolecule axial coordination was ascertained. The ESR characteristic of hydrolytic products in solution is discussed, and some crystal structures of new metal complexes are reported. Keywords
